WTO Joining Be Discussed On Fishery Congress In Vladivostok

Another important event in Russia’s fishery business will take place in October.

This is the VII International Fishermen Congress which will be held from October 2 to 3. As I’ve learned from some insider sources, among other most pressing issues for the fishing industry one of the key themes will be operation of Russian fishing industry after joining the WTO. It’s expected that international experts will share their experience in this field.
This topic involves a fairly wide range of issues for discussion. Of particular interest are such as practice of fishing industry in other WTO members, in connection with which the forum organizers count on the active participation of specialists from other countries.
Other topics include methods of control and supervision in the fishing industry of WTO countries and ways of their harmonizing with the current requirements used in Russia, and government support of Russian fishing business in new business conditions.
From my own experience I know that representatives of many courtiers come to discuss pressing issues of the fishing industry. For example, last year the event was attended by delegates from the UK, USA, Germany, Norway, the Republic of Korea and other countries, and, maybe, some of you were there too.
