Why are the Pollock prices going up?

Well, I think there is no conspiracy and the trend is caused by very natural events...

Russian catches are as strong as before, but there is a lack of product. So practical assumption is that the demand is driving prices up. Let's see a very basic calculation of what is happening in the next 2 months:

29.12-09.01 - Russian Holidays
13.01 - Start of Chinese New Year

It is absolutely natural for the processors to secure stock BEFORE CNY.
