Fish export showed positive dynamics
More fish from Russia
According to the Primorsky Region statistics agency, in 2011 fishing companies of Primorsky Region sent to foreign markets 459.8 thousand tons of fish and seafood, which is 10.1% higher than in 2010. In value terms exports amounted to 658.8 million, or 13% more than in the previous year.
As for the structure of export, it is as following (in value terms):
- 66.8% - fresh and frozen fish (440.1 mio USD)
- 14.5% - caviar, liver and milt (95.1 mio USD)
- 9.8% - crustaceans (64.2 mio USD )
- 4% - fish fillet (26.5 mio USD)
- 3% - fish meal (20 mio USD)
In 2011 the fishing companies of Primorsky Region sold fish and seafood to 15 foreign countries including CIS. The highest shares of export are of China - 215.8 mio USD (32.8%), South Korea - 212.3 mio USD (32.2%), Japan - 78 mio USD (11.8%), and Panama - 43 mio USD (6.5%).
